The Print Distribution Company (PDC) has today acquired Centurion-based StarPOS SA, known for its range of Star Micronics Point of sale printers and J2 touch screens. As part of the PDC group StarPOS will now have the ability to distribute its products through PDC’s distribution centres throughout Southern Africa. The comprehensive product basket is used extensively in the retail and hospitality industries, along with applications such as parkades, toll booths and Lotto kiosks "The reason for the acquisition is to broaden our footprint," says StarPOS MD, Ernie Boardman.
